A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
